a full, heavy mist enveloped the skyline as i ran over the bridge. behind the uni-cloud that seemed to wrap itself around every crevasse above the 25th floor, the pink of the sunset still managed to wink through and bounce back from the ocean. this persistent shimmer of the sun followed me across and back two times; by the third lap it all had but sunk into the horizon.
